At Thompson Rental Services & Sales, we believe in doing business the way it used to be done—where customer service comes first, and a handshake still means something. As a small, family-owned business, we take pride in serving our community with the same dedication and integrity that we’ve had since day one.

Our story began in 1982, when William (Monty) Thompson Jr. and his father, the late William Thompson, embarked on a journey in the storage trailer rental business. Their success led to expanding into equipment rentals and opening Grand Rental in 1994. Shortly after, Benji Glover (now Co-Owner) joined the team in 1995. Meanwhile Monty’s son, William (Bill) Thompson III, was growing up learning the business from his father.

Fast forward to 2005, Thompson Rental Services & Sales became its own entity marking the beginning of a new chapter in our company’s legacy. Since then, we’ve continued to grow and adapt while staying true to our roots: providing top-quality equipment and exceptional customer service to our neighbors across the Midlands.
